Police were called to the single vehicle crash involving a blue Toyota on the A47 in Postwick, near the Broadland Business Park shortly before 7.20am today.

The crash was damage only with no injuries reported. The owner of the vehicle arranged his own recovery and the road was cleared shortly after 8am.

A police spokesman said there was black ice on the road with the surface described as very icy.

Motorists were earlier warned about icy conditions elsewhere following a number of crashes.

One lane of the A12 at Blundeston was blocked between the Hopton roundabout and Corton roundabout because of a single vehicle crash on the southbound carriageway between Lowestoft Road and Gorleston Road.

Meanwhile at 6.20am two fire crews from Fakenham were called to a collision on the A1065 where no persons were trapped. Crews made the vehicle and surrounding area safe.

And at 5.40am crews from Carrow and Earlham attended a crash on the A47 at Cringleford where they made the vehicles safe.
