UPDATE: Norwich man in court over Magdalen Street axe attack

A man appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court today following an alleged axe attack on a city shop.
Michael Kelly of Knowsley Road, in the north of Norwich, was charged with affray and possession of the axe.
The 52-year-old did not enter a plea to the charges.
His case was adjourned to October 4 when it will be sent to Norwich Crown Court.
Kelly was not released on bail.
Secondhand Land in Magdalen Street was damaged on Thursday at 3.50pm.
