The crash on Newmarket Road, near the junction with Upton Road, happened on the carriageway heading into the city just after 5pm today.
It involved a van and a motorcycle.

Police, firefighters and ambulance crews went to the scene.

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said a man in his 20s had been taken by ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

He said his condition was not thought to be life-threatening.

While emergency services attended, traffic was diverted via Unthank Road.

Norfolk police took to Twitter to urge drivers to avoid the area.

The road had re-opened by 7pm.
