Update: Great Yarmouth police charge teenager after man is stabbed

A teenager has been charged with grievous bodily harm after a man was stabbed on Boxing Day.

The victim, also thought to be in his late teens, sustained stab wounds to the groin area and to the back of his head. He is currently receiving treatment at the James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston and is described as in a stable condition.

Alexander Thorpe, 18, of Warren Road, Gorleston, was charged with GBH tonight (Friday). He will appear before Norwich Magistrates Court tomorrow (Saturday).

Two additional men were also arrested in connection with the stabbing but have been released with no further action.
