Police have appealed for information after three people were hurt in an early-morning car crash near Fakenham today.

Emergency services were called to the A1065 at Toftrees just after 3.30am after a silver Peugeot 307 left the road, entered a ditch and struck a concrete plinth.

Fire crews from Fakenham cut three people from the vehicle.

The driver, a woman in her 60s from the Melton Constable area, suffered a lower spinal fracture, fractured ribs and a shoulder injury.

The Fakenhan man in his 70s, who was also in the car, suffered head and leg lacerations and a fractured pelvis.

A woman in her 60s, also from Fakenham, sustained a fractured wrist and thumb, neck injuries and a head injury.

The Peugeot was travelling north along the A1065 towards Fakenham.

Anyone who saw it being driven shortly before the collision should contact Sgt Peter Howlett at the Roads Policing Unit on 101.
