A road in Norwich has been re-opened following a rush-hour accident involving three vehicles this morning.

The crash on Unthank Road happened shortly after 8am, blocking the route near the junctions with Neville Street and Ampthill Street, causing delays in both directions.

Fire and rescue teams from Carrow and Earlham were called to assist two casualties, and one was extricated using hydraulic equipment.

A Norfolk police spokesman said slight injuries were treated by ambulance crews at the scene, and that the road was re-opened to traffic at 9.53am.
