Train delays between Norwich and Ely

Train passengers have been experiencing delays between Norwich and Ely today due to a signalling problem.
Delays of up to about 30 minutes were being reported on the line today because of a signalling problem causing disruption at Eccles Road.
The problem affected both Greater Anglia and East Midlands Trains services.
A Greater Anglia spokesman said the signalling fault between Eccles Road and Attleborough occurred at about 10.30am and that Network Rail had fixed the fault by about 11.45am.
He said Norwich to Cambridge services had been affected by delays of up to about 30 minutes but that normal services were resumed by about 1.15pm.

Citizen.. A refund? I think a re-think would be better, I do not think they have had a week without delayscancellations for years. I would be looking for a refund of my ticket if this was happening to me. These so called hi-tech systems seems to be failling more often than not. The human factor was a lot more reliable, maybe more costly, but you only need a couple of failure to cause accidents and that savings is out the window.

There does appear to have been more level crossing failures and signal problems since this work was undertaken or is it just my imagination

I'm sure I read somewhere that Notwork Snail had spent about £50 million resignalling the entire line with "state of the art" signalling. Maybe they should ask for a refund!
