Three people are being treated in hospital today following a serious crash, which closed the A11 for almost eight hours.
The single carriageway stretch between Thetford and Barton Mills was reopened at about 1.30am this morning following the three-vehicle collision near Elveden yesterday afternoon.
Suffolk Police said the incident was a head-on crash, which caused serious injuries.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said three people were taken to the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds.
One man suffered possibly life changing neck injuries and the driver of a Mazda received serious injuries.
The collision happened just after 5.45pm, with a fire crew from Thetford helping their Suffolk counterparts from Brandon and Mildenhall.
That stretch of the A11 is the last single carriageway section of the road, and preparatory work has begun on a £134m scheme to dual it.
On Sunday, October 7, four people were taken to hospital after a crash at the Elveden crossroads, on the same stretch of the A11.
