The three, all aged 18, were detained on Wednesday night after several people in the city were called by a man claiming to be from their bank.

The victims were persuaded to give their PIN numbers over the phone and their cards were collected before being delivered to another address in the city.

The three suspects, all from London, were questioned by detectives at Wymondham police investigation centre on suspicion of committing fraud by false representation.

They have since been released on bail until March.

In the wake of the incidents, police have reminded members of the public to never give their PIN numbers out – banks will never ask for this over the phone.

Anyone who believes they have been a victim of fraud should contact Det Con Jon Church or Det Sgt Dave Freeman at Norwich CID on 101.
