Three members of staff suffered minor injuries as a result of a brawl in a Norwich pub, which was started by a group of 15 men.
Detectives have launched an investigation and are appealing for the public’s help following the disturbance at The Kings Pub yesterday evening.
The incident took place at about 5.30pm at the pub in King Street. A group of 15 males, who were white and believed to be aged in their 20s and 30s, were asked to leave the premises.
A spokesman for Norfolk Police said that following an altercation with members of staff, a fight broke out during which the men made homophobic remarks and three staff members were physically assaulted.
“All the assaulted staff suffered injuries as a result of the attack. Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this attack or anyone who may have seen the group of males either before or after the incident,” said the spokesman.
Norfolk Police have extra officers on the streets of Norwich this weekend, which is a busy party period ahead of the Christmas holidays.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Norwich CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
