A teenager had his jaw broken when he was set upon by six males in Great Yarmouth.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the victim was knocked unconscious during an assault in the town on February 8.
The teenager was walking along South Quay between 4am and 5am when he was assaulted near to the junction with Nottingham Way. He was attacked by a group of around six males who knocked unconscious and left him needing surgery for serious facial injuries.
The men are described as having foreign accents. One of the men was around six foot tall, of large build with blond hair and another was short and of large build and wearing a t-shirt with white writing on it.
Detectives believe the assault may be connected to a disturbance earlier that evening in Long John’s Bar on Britannia Pier which also involved a group of foreign males.
A 26-year-old man from Yarmouth has been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with this earlier incident and released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Officers want to speak to anyone who witnessed or has information about either incident, contact Detective Sergeant Chris Burgess at Great Yarmouth CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
