A teenager suffered a broken ankle after he was attacked by two men in Great Yarmouth.

The 17-year-old was in Kent Square in the early hours of yesterday morning when he was approached and attacked by the pair at around 4.35am.

The victim suffered serious injuries including a cut to the mouth and a broken ankle, and was taken to the James Paget University Hospital for treatment.

Two men, aged 20 and 29, have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detectives are keen to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information concerning the assault.
