The 16 year old was walking on Seawake Close in Gorleston when he heard rustling in bushes and was then shot in the eye.

He was taken to the James Paget Hospital where it was discovered he had a bruised eyeball, but doctors said had he been hit a fraction higher he would have lost his sight in that eye.

Police are now appealing for information to the attack, which happened at around 7.15pm on Tuesday.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or who may have information about who is responsible should call PC Grant Buchanan on 101.
