Smoke cloaks are used by banks and other businesses to fill the room with thick smog to prevent thieves seeing what they are doing.

However, firefighters from Watton, Massingham and Swaffham were scrambled to T K Drake in London Street at 7.35am today after worried members of the public thought the building was on fire.

Police also went to the scene but confirmed it was a false alarm.
