A new survey has been launched to seek Norfolk patients’ views on the performance of the East of England Ambulance Service.
The ambulance service and Healthwatch Norfolk have combined to find out more about people’s experience of the ambulance service.
The three month long survey was launched this week and officials are asking patients whether they were satisfied with the service when they called 999. They also want to know about the circumstances when people think it is appropriate to call 999 for an ambulance.
Alex Stewart, Healthwatch Norfolk chief executive, said: “We know that the East of England Ambulance Service has been making a big effort to address people’s concerns and the problems the service has faced in the past. The feedback we have been hearing is that they have been making really good progress since Anthony Marsh took over as chief executive.
“The ambulance service is incredibly important to the people of Norfolk. We all want to be confident that we can call on skilled and committed help when we most need it. Healthwatch Norfolk is very pleased to be playing a role in helping the service be as good as it can be. We want to hear from as many people as possible.”
Matt Broad, locality director for Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire, added: “This a really exciting opportunity to work in partnership with Healthwatch Norfolk, whose contacts are far reaching into all areas of the community. We are keen to better understand the experiences and views of the public to positively influence the service we provide in the future.”
