Lifstyles Extreme Sports and Culture Festival blows into Hunstanton this Jubilee weekend, bringing with it three days of high-octane activities, live bands and have-a-go sessions.
It kicks off with a series of workshops and have-a-go sessions for pupils from local schools, with around 150 local children set to participate in activities.
Over the Saturday and Sunday there will be inline skating, BMX, and skateboarding demonstrations from some of the country’s top talent along with opportunities to have-a-go.
Hunstanton will once again be hosting Round 2 of British Kite Surfing Association’s National Freestyle Competition, giving visitors to Lifestyles the opportunity to see some of the very best kite surfers showing off their skills as they compete for the title.
Street dancing demonstrations will be taking place in the show arena throughout the weekend - led by Alison Street Dance and there will be opportunities throughout the weekend to watch King’s Lynn Free Runners demonstrating their parkour skills.
Live music performances will take place on the Main Stage on Friday night and Saturday and there will be performances on Squeakers Corner throughout the weekend.
Elizabeth Nockolds, West Norfolk council’s cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “Lifestyles Festival is a popular event on the extreme sports calendar.
“The event is designed to inspire people to think about taking up an activity that they might not previously have considered, which is why we have plenty of opportunities for people to have a go.
“This year, to coincide with the Jubilee theme, spot prizes are being offered to encourage people to dress up in red, white and blue, so it should be a colourful spectacle.”
“I would just like to thank all our sponsors and the volunteers who help to organise this event. It simply wouldn’t be possible without them.”
There are still some tickets available for camping - anyone wishing to camp for the weekend, can book tickets by visiting the Lifestyles Festival website - follow link above.
