The owner of Take Thai on Dereham Road is expanding into the city centre this summer with new venture Vegan Wok - serving 100pc vegan authentic East Asian cuisine.

Owner Andy Davis, 44, from Norwich, said: “At Take Thai 40pc of our customers are vegetarian, pescatarian or vegan - it became apparent there was a demand for this kind of food.

“Although I’m not vegan myself, my aim has always been to provide fresh, healthy, honest food.

“Vegan Wok will be one of the first, possibly the only dedicated takeaway of its kind in the UK - there will be traditional Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and Indonesian Dishes on the menu.”

All the food at the new eatery will be cooked from scratch by Thai and Vietnamese chefs and Mr Davis insists “you don’t need to be vegan to enjoy these dishes”.
