The DJ, who topped the charts with boyband Another Level in the late nineties, stands accused of two counts of assault and one of racially aggravated harassment.

He appeared before Norwich magistrates this afternoon (Friday) for the case to be committed to Norwich Crown Court for trial.

The 32-year-old, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2010, previously pleaded not guilty to the three charges dating from Saturday, June 2.

The offences are alleged to have taken place on Prince of Wales Road.

Bowers, of Ambercroft Way, Coulsdon, Surrey, used to date model Katie Price and hit number one in 1998 with his band’s single Freak Me.

He will appear at crown court on Friday, September 14.
