Many people across the region woke up to a light dusting of snow this morning, and it’s set to stay cold and rather cloudy today with a few flurries and temperatures of 1-3C.
Snow fell across east Norfolk and in Norwich and there was also a light covering of snow on cars in Wymondham.
Snow has also started to fall in Great Yarmouth although there has been little in Waveney, with just a few flakes falling.
Chris Bell, forecaster with Weatherquest, based at the UEA, said on Twitter that it would very cold for this afternoon’s Norwich versus Everton Premier League match at Carrow Road.
He said on Twitter: “Match-time forecast for #NCFC - Cloudy with a very cold NE’ly wind and a few snow flurries. Temps 1-2C, but feeling like -3C.”
You can send your snow pictures to www.iwitness24.co.uk.

Dear Daisy Roots, sadly being a born and bred norfolk boy, your comments have gone right over my head and I have no idea what you mean by it, however from the website literarynorfolk.co.uk , I give you this "In some ways N.F.N. (or N.4.N) has been embraced as a term of endearment - and its popularity demonstrates clearly the admirable ability of 'Norfolkers' to laugh at themselves," something I am quite capable of doing. And furthermore if Mr Norfolk "Keith Skipper" can produce a book called normal for norfolk, then I am more than happy to use the phrase. Incidentally I see the phrase "Daisy Roots" seems to have it's basis in some place called London, never heard of it personally !

Daisy Roots, this would be a pathetic story whatever part of the country it was published in. It just happens to be published in Norfolk which already struggles with a nationally perceived view of this part of the world. As Oscar Wilde said 'The only thing worse than being talked about is....', I'll let you fill the rest in.

All credit to the gritting campaign-drove from the west of Cambridgeshire to the east coast via Swaffham last night and lots of gritters . The A roads well treated-even if they are all falling to pieces with great ruts and pits and the cat's eyes rapidly disappearing from many stretches.

Things like this really help the "normal for norfolk" detractors, lazy journalism at it's finest.

Wow,where was that picture taken? I must dig out my sledge and have a slide down that vast expanse of snow.Or I could build a small flat made out of ice and charge tourists to stay in there.Wait a minute,I can definitely see a Yeti hiding behind that tree. We're all doomed....
