Four schools took part in a choir competition last week, which was won by Thorpe St Andrew School.
The Rotary Club of Norwich staged the Inter Schools Choirs Competition on Wednesday at Flegg High School, in Martham.
Once again, Thorpe St Andrew School ran off with the top prize of £120, Ormiston Victory Academy, entering for the first time, took second prize of £90, and £50 each was awarded to Flegg High and Reepham High.
Since the competition’s inception, the Rotary Club of Norwich has given well over £1,000 to the music departments of schools in Norfolk.
Hilary King, secretary of the Rotary Club of Norwich, who organised the contest, said that one of the best aspects of the competition was that the choirs hear each other sing, can learn from each other, and share their enthusiasm for music.
The wind band of Flegg High also took part, entertaining the audience while the judges reached their decision.
