Santa sails in to delight Acle youngsters

SANTA sailed in to visit youngsters in Acle over the weekend to get them into the Christmas spirit.

St Nick and his helpers arrived by boat at the Acle Bride Inn for the pub’s annual festive event, where children enjoyed entertainment, food and the all important visit from the South Pole’s famous resident.

Landlord Vanessa Hannon said hundreds of youngsters and their parents had poured into the pub over Saturday and Sunday.

“Santa arrived by boat and they absolutely loved it. Some children have been here before but for some that have never seen it, it’s just magical and I think some of the adults get more excited,” she added.
