Shoppers in a Norfolk town centre this morning were greeted by a loyal friend- a sand sculpture of a dog lying on the pavement.
Artist Mario Grini, 29, specialises in sand sculptures of various animals and was busy creating the dog on the pavement outside the Every Cloud shop in Mere Street, Diss this morning.
The Ipswich-based sculptor uses soft sand bought from building firms to create his designs, which include horses and lions as well as dogs.
He said: “I create the animals using my imagination and I have a number of different designs. This dog will be here for a few hours but then I will have to pull it apart.”
