Sale of the Century host Nicholas Parsons is set to return to the Norwich studios where he presented the TV game show to give his support to a fundraising auction for East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
'And now, from Norwich, it's the quiz of the week,' was Mr Parson's famous catchphrase in the show filmed by Anglia Television from 1971 to 1983, and which at its peak attracted more than 21 million viewers. The Magdalen Street studios are now part of Epic Studios, and on June 28 Mr Parsons will be making an appearance there for a grand charity auction and black tie dinner in aid of EACH. The evening will be hosted by comedian Aaron James.
The event is the brainchild of Lord Baker who has been involved in raising funds for local and national charities for many years, including instigating the EACH Charity Online Auction in 2013, which raised more than £10,000. Lord Baker said 'EACH rely upon voluntary donations for the majority of their income. They receive some government funding but the majority comes from the community.'
He added: 'It is important for local communities and businesses to pull together to help ensure the valued support local charities provide are able to continue.'
This June's fundraiser will include a silent auction and a live auction that will be broadcast online. Among the auction lots donated are: a work of art created on the night by Philip Gray (whose work is collected by Barack Obama and Bill Clinton); an original artwork by London 2012 Olympics official artist Fabian Perez; signed shirts from Norwich City Football Club and a mascot day for next season; a stay at a beach villa in The Gambia; a weekend glamping in Dunwich; a tie signed by Stephen Fry; and a two-person champagne Virgin balloon flight.

Tickets for the black tie dinner and auction cost £75 each or £1,200 for an eight-person sponsored table, allowing companies to market their brand while the auction is streamed live.
