Norfolk appears to have missed the worst of the forecasted heavy downpours and thunderstorms.
The Met Office had issued a weather warning over heavy rain today.
Chris Bell, a forecaster for UEA-based Weatherquest, captured this image of what he described as “a decaying elevated thunderstorm” over south Norfolk at about 7am this morning, and he said there could be further thunderstorms throughout the day.
He said there had been some “rumbles of thunder” around Norwich at about 10am.
“There was a little thunderstorm just off the east of Norwich, and that is the typical picture across the county,” he said.
“We have seen some thunderstorms move from the south from about 7am today, and between now and 3pm there is going to continue to be a risk.
“After that we are going to dry out into the evening.”
He added: “There’s the risk of an isolated thunderstorm in west Norfolk later in the afternoon. There’s probably a risk there until about 6pm.”
He said Sunday morning should be quite sunny and in the afternoon there could be a few showers, particularly in north and west Norfolk.
