I want to complain about this content:

  • Let us all hope this is not another false dawn in the battle to curb supermarket power. The supermarkets are run by the most awful people, paid vastly excessive amounts to squeeze every drop out of their beleaguered customers and suppliers in order to continually grow profits. Consider the deceptive practise of special offer prices, eg. buy two for a fiver when the off-offer price is £1.59 each. Not only are consumers being defrauded effectively, but also this contributes to the abonimable wasting of food when customers are encouraged to buy far more than they need or will use before the goods are passed their use-by date, as recently highlighted by the media nationally. Making producers take the cost of promotions and cancelling perishable orders at the last moment, without compensation are further examples of the appalling behaviour rife in this industry!
