Experimental printmaker Sally Hirst is among the many artists in the city opening their doors for this year's Norfolk and Norwich Open Studios.
She is exhibiting her work at Muspole Workshops in Muspole Street, and it is her sixth year being involved in Open Studios in the city after previously being involved in the Cambridge version.
'It's lovely meeting lots of people who are genuinely interested in art and who want to see what you do and how you make artwork,' she said.
'As an artist you are often fairly isolated so it's great to be able to get feedback from people about your work.'
Much of Mrs Hirst's work is done on her 19th century Albion press and her etching press, and during Open Studios visitors will be able to see Mrs Hirst working with both.
'My work is very much based on the urban environment. I do prints and mixed media collages based on urban textures and signs and industrial architecture. I have a very experimental way of working,' said Mrs Hirst, who is currently working on a series of prints inspired by machinery at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse.
She said there has been good turnout of visitors so far for this year's Open Studios, with about 80 people visiting her studio on each day of the Bank Holiday weekend.
Mrs Hirst - who was nominated for an EDP People's Choice Award at last year's Norfolk Arts Awards - has also organised a trail linking up city centre artists.
'There are 48 artists in the City Centre Art Trail across seven city centre venues,' she said.
'There's a lot of variety - illustrators, photographers, sculptors, jewellery-makers. There's huge variety in the trail and the venues are all within walking distance from each other. It makes a great day out, and there's lots of nice cafes to stop at along the way.'
The venues in the trail are Muspole Workshops, Anteros Arts Foundation, Studio 20, The Jade Tree, Space Studios, Creative Edge and City 4.
