A by-election is to be held after a Broadland District councillor quit.
Liberal Democrat Ben McGilvray has resigned from his position as councillor for Wroxham,
The former member champion for young people said he made the “difficult” decision to resign because he had moved away from the district.
“My time on the council has been a pleasure and I have learned so much from it,” he said in a statement to council staff.
“The thing that sets Broadland apart from other councils is the openness and the relationship between the staff and the councillors.
“There is no way I could have gained so much from my time here without this and I am very grateful. I would also like to give thanks to residents of the ward for their support.”
There will be a by-election held for Wroxham on Thursday, March 20 - the same day as the Sprowston Neighbourhood Plan referendum.
The referendum count will be on the night, the by-election count will be on the Friday morning.
