Police are warning motorists to drive with caution as a section of the A47 bypass is flooded.
The area between the A146 at Beccles and the A140 at Diss in both directions has been described as “wet” by a police spokesman who said police officers are at the scene managing traffic.
The Highways Agency are also on their way to the section of southern bypass.

It does not, Pa Snipps, they are separate incidents. The A47 Southern bypass was indeed flooded with single line traffic in both directions between the Ipswich Road and Lowestoft Road junctions at around 2.45 pm and the A146 was flooded badly across the road near to Yelverton at around 4.00 pm. That I can vouch for I passed through both incidents. I also understand from radio news reports there were problems on the A140 too.

Is that supposed to be a serious piece of imformation, or what? I never knew that the A47 by pass went anywhere near Beccles or Diss....must have been the heavy rain washed it south.
