The 20-year-old woman was attacked in Earlham Green Lane in West Earlham between 10.25pm and 10.35pm.

She was walking along the road between the junctions with Malbrook Road and George Dance Place when she was approached by six male teenagers who surrounded her.

One of the youths touched the victim inappropriately while others blocked her path as she made attempts to push past.

A car drove past the group and the victim was pushed to the floor before the youths, believed to be aged between 16 and 18, ran from the scene towards the Larkman Lane area.

Officers would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the attack or noticed a group of teenagers in the area around the time of the incident.

Police are also interested in tracing the driver of the car which travelled past the group, potentially disturbing offenders.

Anyone with information should contact PC Dan Taylor at Earlham Police Station on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
