Police have been dealing with a rave in the Bromeswell area of Suffolk, near Woodbridge, that is believed to have started in the early hours of this morning.
The location of the rave was discovered by officers at around 1.20am following intelligence that there may be an event of this nature in the area overnight. Police have also received a number of calls from members of the public.
Officers attended the site and efforts were made to contain the area and block off access points to prevent further persons entering. Around 170 people were believed to be in attendance.
Just before 9am further officers served a Section 63 notice to close down the rave and the music was stopped.
The site will now be cleared and officers will consider what action to take against the organisers, which may include seizing sound equipment.
