Police called to runaway car in North Walsham
15:29 29 June 2013
Police were called to North Walsham today after a car rolled out of its parking space, across a road and onto a pavement in the town centre.
The white Kia, which had been left locked and secured, wheeled out of the space in the Market Square and came to a rest on the pavement outside Arnolds Keys estate agents at around 1pm.
Officers attended the scene to track down the owner and move the car off the kerb. Police believe the hand brake may have failed or not been put on correctly.
North Norfolk district councillor Graham Jones was in town when the car rolled out of its spot and took the picture (right) of police investigating.
Mr Jones said the car had not damaged anything and the pavement had brought it to a stop.
