Traffic has been held up on Grapes Hill in Norwich this morning after police were called to a man standing on the pedestrian bridge above the busy road.

Officers were called to the bridge - which connects Upper St Giles Street with Earlham Road - at 10.20am and managed to talk the man away from the bridge by 10.55am.

The man has now been taken to hospital but was unhurt in the incident.

The road was closed downhill from the Grapes Hill roundabout down towards the Dereham Road junction during the incident, but is now fully open again.
