A man arrested on suspicion of robbery has been released on bail by police pending further inquiries.
The 35-year-old man from Norwich was questioned following three incidents where women were threatened and had their bags stolen earlier this week.
On Tuesday night, two robberies took place in Aylsham Road and in Mandela Close.
On both occasions the female victims were threatened with a knife and their bags were stolen.
A third robbery took place at 11.20am on Wednesday in Andersons Meadow, off Mile Cross Road, when a woman was also threatened with a knife and her bag stolen.
