The incident happened in Earlham Cemetery at a grave near to the Farrow Road gate between 11am on Thursday, May 1 and 2pm on Monday, May 5.

Police are investigating the incident and want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the pot, which contained a marguerite plant, being taken.

Investigating officer, PC Beth Woollsey, said: “This type of crime is very distressing to the victims involved as many people leave items at gravesides and tokens of love and remembrance.

“I would encourage anyone visiting the cemetery that may have seen anyone acting suspiciously to contact police.”

Anyone with information should contact PC Woolsey at Earlham Police Station on 101.
