Local Scout Reece Tucker lights Sheringham’s beacon at Beeston Bump, where a crowd of 250 scaled the summit to see the town join the chain of Jubilee beacons stretching around the world.

The beacon was made for the town by the engineering workshops of the North Norfolk Railway.

  • I wonder where these figures came from, we were told to watch from the leas for safety. Someone who did go up the bump mentioned a group, but 250 people is a huge number! Doubt the fact.
