Photography enthusiasts are being invited to enter their best photos from this year’s Lord Mayor’s procession into a competition.
The Carnival Archive Project is running a competition to find the photo which best captures the spirit of the Norwich procession, with the winner claiming an iPod Touch.
The project is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and is the first online Carnival Archive in the country.
To enter, upload your photo at the Carnival Archive Project gazebo in Theatre Plain, between Theatre Street and The Forum, before 9.30pm, go to http://carnivalarchive.org.uk/norwich2012 or email norwich2012@carnivalarchive.org.uk. All photos must be taken and uploaded by midnight on Saturday night.
To win, your photo must receive the most online votes by midday on Friday, July 13. People can vote for their favourite photo at http://carnivalarchive.org.uk/norwich2012
The winner will be presented with their prize at City Hall at midday on Wednesday, July 18, when Lord Mayor of Norwich Ralph Gayton will present the prizes for the best floats in this year’s procession as well.
