Youngsters had some “wheelie” good fun while learning useful new skills when they took part in a Go Kids Go wheelchair workshop in Norwich.
Wheelchair basketball and dance were among the subjects on the timetable at City of Norwich School on Sunday along with back wheel balancing to help wheelchair users go up and down kerbs independently, safety on slopes, and an emergency evacuation.
Go Kids Go training manager Roy Wild said: “Everyone had a great time. About seven families took part. A lot of the course is about independent mobility and part of it is an introduction to sport and dance.”
Go Kids Go received some funding from the Norfolk Community Foundation for the course.
Go Kids Go will also be holding another wheelchair skills workshop at King’s Lynn Academy on Saturday.
