The hotel, which is in Tombland, Norwich, is refurbishing 40 bathrooms in its new wing; 16 are being converted into walk-in showers and 24 will continue with baths.

The showers and baths will feature panels depicting large-scale versions of the winning photographs shown here. In return, each winner will be offered the opportunity to ‘christen’ their new bathroom, staying at the hotel on a complimentary dinner, bed & breakfast basis for two.

The refurbishment of the bathrooms will be completed in two phases, with the first four winners staying around the end of September and the remaining six winners should get their opportunity at the end of October.

Hotel general manager Christine Malcolm said: “The response to the competition has been fantastic. Thank you very much to everyone who submitted photographs.

“We had a very difficult job choosing the winning photographs. We had to consider which images would work best in either a bath or shower setting, as well as how they represented historic Norwich.

“We have decided on an excellent group of photographs, which will enhance our refurbished bathrooms and, we hope, will encourage our guests to get out and explore the city.”
