A man attacked a pensioner who was walking in the road in Gorleston late at night.
The woman victim, in her early 70s, was set upon in Kings Road at around 11pm on Sunday, January 19.
She was walking home along the road after an evening out when a vehicle pulled up.
The male driver – described as white and of large build – came up to her and started shouting at her for walking in the road.
He then struck the woman in the face, knocking her to the ground, and then assaulted her again before leaving.
The woman was taken to the James Paget University Hospital (JPH) in Gorleston for treatment and overnight checks.
She suffered a black eye, swelling to her face, a cut on her tongue and a graze to her elbow, but she has now been discharged.
Police need to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time, anyone who saw the vehicle or the incident or anyone with information about the man involved.
