Pair due in court after incident in Great Yarmouth

A MAN and a teenager are due in court charged with assault following an incident in Great Yarmouth.

The 17 year old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, and 22 year old Daniel Brown of Beccles Road, Bradwell are due to appear at Yarmouth Magistrate’s Court this morning (Monday) charged with assaulting an 18 year old man by beating.

Police were alerted to an incident in Regent Road in the town in the early hours of August 5 after being called by CCTV operators. Officers made arrests shortly afterwards.

The 17 year old was charged with assault by beating and theft from the person after a mobile phone was stolen from the teenage victim.

Mr Brown has been charged with racially aggravated common assault by beating.
