Organisers of a popular south Norfolk carnival are busy putting the finishing touches to the event ahead of its return this weekend.
The Wymondham Carnival will make its comeback to the historic market town on Saturday, July 26, after more than 20 years.
The event, which this year has a Wymondham on Sea theme, was a firm favourite in the town's calendar, and members of the Wymondham Business Group hope to restore the busy event to its former glory.
Dianne Fernee, member of the group and town deputy mayor, said: 'It's going well - we had great support when the carnival queen was crowned and we hope to have the same support from the town.
'Everyone has worked really hard.'
The procession will begin at 3pm from Back Lane, and will wind its way through the town's streets to the market square.
A stage will be set up to host the 12 finalists of Wymondham's Got Talent - where the lucky winner will be crowned and presented with their £500 cheque.
Donkey rides, ice-creams and buskers will transport visitors from the market town to a traditional seaside one, with cstalls and eateries lining the streets.
The event is sponsored by Waitrose, Fosters Solicitors, Wymondham High Academy and KSD Aossicates.
