Pop stars Olly Murs, Pixie Lott and Dizzee Rascal are the big names who will headline this year’s Norfolk Spectacular.
Last year’s inaugural two-day music festival attracted around 30,000 people to the Norfolk Showground, which has allowed its organisers to attract some more mainstream musicians this year.
The festival has also been renamed and will now be known as the Sundown Festival.
With further acts still to be added to the bill, other confirmed acts also include; drum and bass DJs Chase & Status, dubstep star Katy B, Radio One rock DJ Zane Lowe and rapper Miss Dynamite.
Sundown Festival spokesman, Dion Clements, said: “The exciting mix of these chart-topping, urban-tipped and dance acts is just the start of what will be a massive line-up of the music world’s hot talents, in an event that is expected to firmly place the Sundown Festival on the annual, live-music event calendar.
“Together with the new name – truly appropriate for the timing of the festival towards the end of summer – the additional organisers and top line-up, we’re opening up the event to people from right across the UK as well as the fans who supported last year’s event on a massive scale.”
The festival is being held over the weekend of September 1 and 2 and will also incorporate a series of ‘after-hours’ warehouse parties for those camping on-site, of which there were around 2,000 last year.

Here it comes...concerts on the Showground represent a significant change of use. Those who bought homes in Easton etc were probably expecting inconvenience a few times a year but not a great deal of noise. One can hardly blame them for moaning about being forced to listen to the likes of the above. Now if it was the IOW 1970 ( or 1969) line up it would be a different matter !

Fair enough, Whipsnade, but if you know this site cannot cope with forward slashes, why still use them? A bit wet really. Happy now?

Why does this Murs bloke wear a hat 247 when we all know he is going prematurely bald ? Face up to it.

Nexus_6 - I agree. Olly Murs is awful. I wouldn't even be paid to see him, let alone pay TO see him! I like Pixie Lott though, if this was her solo concert I would go. As for the people moaning about the noise, get over it!

Where's the full lineup? You say see links in top right, I can't find it. Sounds worse than last year I'm hoping some more big acts will be there.

great idea for the kids, putting Norwich on the musical map. As a 46 year old i wont be gouing thankyou i would rather have surgery but my kids will love it! No doubt the miserable old f**t brigade will be kicking off again but thay always will. My generation embarrasses me sometimes. "Do as i do, like what i like, be what i say" merchants! Message to all the kids.....have fun, enjoy it, :-) Just one thing..... how about a rock festival too for us oldies? Deep Purple, Ozzy, Iron Maiden headlining? Now that would be amazing!!

Norfolk Spectacular was a better name. Google Sundown Festival and you get a tonne of names!

Spectacular and Olly Murs are two things that really don't belong in the same sentence.I wouldn't watch him if he was playing in my local pub.Pixie Lott isn't exactly an amazing singer either, but at least she is quite nice to look at.There used to be some good gigs at Waterloo Park, and they had a really good free music festival at Earlham Park a few years ago that went on all day, with various stages and marquees. They should do something like that again.

Great news - watch out for the fun police squad though - they will be moaning about the noise!
