Bollywood dancers and live music lit up the Mousehold Lane restaurant last night and will do so again tonight.

The restaurant, formerly the Duke of Norfolk pub, has sold around 12,000 curries since it opened in February 2011.

Mumimur Rashind, the restaurant’s owner, said he was “very pleased” with how their first year in business had gone and that he was pleased to be able to celebrate.

He said: “It was a little bit slow because of the weather on Sunday night but other than that it was a really fantastic night.

“It was something new and people were really pleased to have some entertainment.

“We had some musicians up from London, some Bollywood dancers and a Russian belly dancer so it was all really good fun.”
