An event raising awareness of charitable causes in Norfolk was held in the Forum in Norwich this weekend.
More than 20 organisations gathered at the Charities at Home event on Saturday to highlight the importance of volunteering and to show how charities can help people in need.
Organiser Sharon Hulbert said that the reaction had been positive.
“It went really well – there was a steady flow of people throughout the day which was good. This is the second year of running Charities at Home.
“I started it because I felt that there should be an event where local charities came together to promote their services,” she said.
Charities were required to tick three boxes – that their headquarters were in Norfolk, that they were a registered charity and that they provided services for people. A raffle was held, with proceeds split between the causes, which included the Big C, Age UK Norfolk, Break, the East Anglian Air Ambulance and Norwich City Community Sports Foundation.
