Excited Canaries fans of all ages were at Pilch Sport and Outdoor store in Norwich yesterday for the chance to meet Jonny Howson and Ryan Bennett who signed autographs and had their pictures taken with their most loyal supporters.

Riley Bennett, seven, from Dereham, was especially pleased to see his idol who also shares his name and said: “Ryan Bennett is my favourite player, I love watching football.

“I last saw Norwich play Sunderland which was brilliant.”

Haydn Byrne, 11, from Norwich said: “I’ve seen Towson before but I’ve never seen Bennett.

“Out of the whole squad my favourite player is Pilkington.

“I think its very important for footballers to come and meet their fans.”

Anyone who missed out on yesterday’s excitement has a second chance to see the boys in yellow when Anthony Pilkington and Leon Barnett appear again today at 2.30pm in Pilch.
