Holidaymakers using Norwich International Airport will be able to fly to Tunisia from next summer after the North African destination was added to its travel portfolio.
Leading package holiday specialist Thomson Holidays has announced a new summer 2013 flight from Norwich to Tunisia which will be available weekly on Thursdays from May 23 to September 19.
Packages start from £339 per person for seven nights all inclusive on May 30 and this price includes return flights, luggage and transfers.
East Anglian holidaymakers have been encouraged to book now to secure their holiday at a great price as the trend is switching towards some the best deals being made available for early bookings.
Andrew Bell, chief executive officer of Norwich International Airport, said: “We are delighted that Thomson Holidays have added the new route of Tunisia to the fantastic range of destinations available direct from Norwich for summer 2013 which will enable local holidaymakers to fly directly from Norwich to Tunisia with Thomson for the first time.
“We are certain this popular destination will prove a hit with our customers, with its beautiful beaches, great value package deals, fantastic climate and flight duration of under four hours, it is a perfect getaway for families, couples and groups alike. This development further demonstrates the strength of the growth in charter flights from Norwich International next year - our customers now have over twenty direct sun and city destinations to choose from with some of the leading tour operators and airlines”

Clear this tuppenny-ha'penny airport and build some much needed affordable housing there instead.

More destinations, more passengers to rip off £10,,,,,and top that they cant staff the place properly, the security has got to be the slowest in the UK, where does the money go to??? Not on the place its the most drab place to be even when your happy to be leaving the UK for climates much warmer

I wouldn't bank on anything being permanent to Tunisia, one hell of riot being played out by the Muslim brotherhood against alcohol sellers.

Sydney, you are correct that a big problem at Norwich is getting thru UK Border Control , just one plane of holiday makers returning to the airport and you have a queue outside in all weathers. It is something that the airport should urgently address. I have been told that a shelter of sorts has been installed in the last year or so.

Sorry Rorping, but I have to agree with Dave on that one....Returned from Palma in May and both the Thomas Cook and Thompson flights arrive within 10mins of each other....what then happens.... some 600 people queuing up to filter through customs...No protection from the elements at all older people having difficulties carrying hand luggage and so on. What does the £10 go too? Come on Norwich look after your customers and they might come back! Me I travel from Stansted @ a 13 of the price.

£399 That does not include the RIP OFF Departure tax at Norwich Airpot is it not time that was stopped and you get some more travellers through your airport . I refuse to use Norwich Airport because of that tax it is time everbody else done the same. As long it does not affect their job
