Officers at Norfolk County Council’s Trading Standards has issued a warning over telephone cold calls being made by someone claiming to be from a loan company looking for ‘Mr Clark’.
When the person receiving the call replies that they are not Mr Clark, the callers say they have a £5,000 loan payment ready and if they say they ‘know a Mr Clark’ and let the caller have their bank details they can have the money.
Trading Standards officers say it is a scam looking to get hold of bank details and said if anyone gets one of the calls, to not give them any details, but to end the call.
