A Norfolk tourist attraction has cancelled its Halloween event tonight as a result of strengthening winds.
The weather has resulted in the Dinosaur Adventure Park at Lenwade cancelling its PrimEVIL event that was due to start from 6pm. No decision has been made yet on the running of the event on Monday night.
Martin Dupee, operations director at Dinosaur Adventure, said: “Whilst the highest winds are not predicted to be with us until early on Monday, it is with extreme regret that we have decided not to proceed with this evenings event.
“As we are located in mature woodland there is a risk of falling debris from the trees as the wind speeds build. The safety of our guests, actors and staff is absolutely paramount and something which we will not compromise.”
Staff from the attraction are trying to contact ticket holders to inform them about the cancellation and offer the chance of visiting PrimeEVIL another date up until November 2. The park was expecting around 1,000 visitors tonight.
