Patients and staff have joined the council of governors of Norfolk’s community health trust following an election process.
A total of 14 members of the public and four members of staff from Norfolk Community Health and Care NHS Trust have now been elected as the organisation’s very first governors. They were elected by the trust’s membership during the voting period, which ran from October 7 to 30. They will join six partner governors, who were put forward as the representatives of some of the organisations which work closely with NCH&C.
Ken Applegate, NCH&C’s chairman, said: “Our governors will act as the voice of local people and will be responsible for feeding back these views to the trust. This will ensure we remain fully accountable to the public for the services we provide.”
The public governors are Frances Heywood, Adele Walton, Bradley Marks, Geoff Sadler, Patrick Thompson, Nicole Bheenick-Coe, Vicki Hopps, Mary Granville-White, Jeanne Norman, Martin Langdon, Mary Ledgard, Carl Hayden, Howard Gill
and Adrian Lemmon. The staff governors are Julie Baggott, Judy Manson, Steven Whitton and Jayson Elkins.
