Scores of hopefuls have been dancing, hula hooping, and singing in a bid to win a dream holiday as Ant and Dec’s Saturday night show rolled into a city shopping centre.
Thousands of shoppers looked on - and cheered on - as people tried their best to impress the Supercomputer which was at Norwich’s Castle Mall as part of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway ITV1 show.
People registered for the chance to ‘perform’ a variety of silly dances and songs in a bid to win a holiday to Orlando, Florida.
The Norwich winners will be revealed by the award-winning presenters in Saturday night’s show.
There were just a few tickets up for grabs but that did not stop thousands turning up to try their luck.
Frances Fairs, 21, from Lowestoft, who has been at the Mall since 8.30am, said: “I was watching the show when I saw it was coming to Norwich. I do martial arts and am going to try and get everyone to do the Can-Can.”
She added: “I would adore the chance to go to Florida. I would never be able to afford it on my own.”
Rob Wood, 23, from Heartsease, said: “I’m here because I want to take my mum to Florida - it would be great to do something for her for once.”
Buzby Allen, 35, from Hopton-on-Sea, donned a fluorescent lime green tracksuit for his performance, said: “It was a great atmosphere - its just whipping up the crowd.”
